Leadwork

Recalls

Scentwork

KC Rally

Forgotten the rules for nice leadwork? Things just not going as you had planned? Your dog’s hit ‘that stage’ and is testing your recall skills? Want to do a bit more Scent work to stimulate your dog’s natural instincts? Heard about this KC Rally thing and want to have a go to find out what it’s all about?
THEN THIS IS YOUR COURSE!

This course will suit anybody who is having minor leadwork problems, or has just lost that good recall they once had and wants to be reminded of the rules. The scent work and KC Rally are a sample of what’s possible to do with your dog. This course isn’t suitable for anybody who has major long standing leadwork or recall problems as this is just a refresher course, the scent work and rally is set at the introductory level.

Kennel Club Bronze & Silver Good Citizen Training

Dates to be confirmed………………

This training course will provide you with the training of each exercise to aim for the standard required to achieve the award.

An examiner will be brought in for the final week where you will be tested against the Kennel Club standard.

Upon achieving a pass in all 10 areas you will be awarded the relevant award. This course will be of interest to owners who want to learn something new, and achieve the Kennel Club award at Bronze, Silver or Gold level.

You will need a certain level of training – all training will be given but those wanting to attend the Bronze training should be able to walk with the dog on a loose lead, get and generally keep the dogs attention. Basic general obedience behaviours such as sit, down, stand, wait/stay and at least a short off lead recall are also required.

To attend for the Silver level a pass at Bronze must have been achieved previously and to attend for the Gold training a pass at Bronze and Silver must have been achieved, evidence of this may be required.
